Comedy Review

Rich Hall
Assembly

Rich Hall is back with his own particular laconic look at the world. His hoarse drawl echoes through the Music Hall musing on all the usual suspects, Americans abroad, Dubya Bush, Scotland and hits the mark with each gag and glorious throwaway comment. Some of the best moments are when he interacts and ad-libs with the audience or deals with hecklers which he does like no other comedian.

It is always a treat to be part of a Rich Hall audience even if the Music Hall is too big a venue for his intimate style. You really need to sit near the front, in the middle to get the full effect of being in the audience rather than being outside the audience in the gallery. Hall gives the impression that he is not really trying, but his dead pan style hides some of the most intelligent and sophisticated political observations you will see anywhere.

Is it Rich Hall or Moe?
